Honoring the extraordinary

This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding individuals in our community who have made significant contributions to Schenectady education. We invite you to nominate those who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to improving education in Schenectady.

Outstanding Graduate Award

Given to distinguish alumnus who have brought recognition to the district through their achievements.

In addition to recognizing the Teacher of the Year and the SCSDEF Community Partner Award, the Schenectady City School District Educational Foundation also gives out the SCSDEF Outstanding Graduate award and we are seeking nominations for the next honoree.

AWARD CRITERIA: Ideal candidate must:

Be a graduate of the Schenectady City School District
Have achieved significant recognition or accomplishment in their chosen field (business, academic, military/government, the arts, etc.) community or school service.
Be able to accept the award in person at the Education Celebration on April 11, 2024.

Community Partner award

In addition to recognizing the Teacher of the Year and the Outstanding Graduate, the Schenectady City School District Educational Foundation also gives out the SCSDEF Community Partner Award that recognizes a community organization or individual for a record of working in a mutually beneficial partnership with the Schenectady City School District.

AWARD CRITERIA: Ideal candidate must:

Nominees for the community partner award must be community organizations or an individual that provides a service to our students that enhances the opportunity for student achievement.
Be able to accept the award in person at the Education Celebration on April 11, 2024.
