Amazing Race for EDucation 2025
Saturday, November 8, 2025
Join us on a community adventure beginning at Wolff’s Biergarten at 9:00 am. Teams will solve clues, complete fun challenges, and travel across Schenectady to visit checkpoints at local landmarks, businesses, and schools. You'll work with your teammates to test your problem-solving and creativity skills while supporting educational opportunities for students in the Schenectady City School District.
Before registering, have a team name. Your team captain must register first and create the team.

How It Works:
Teams of four take on a series of quirky, challenging, and laugh-out-loud tasks across Schenectady. We start and finish the event at Wolff’s Biergarten on Erie Boulevard.
It’s not a speed race. The focus is fun, teamwork, and raising money for a great cause.
Each challenge location is revealed through a QR code clue, keeping teams guessing and moving throughout the morning.
Shotgun-style start: Teams launch in different directions so no one gets too crowded.
Team Entry: $250 minimum per team
Teams can fundraise to cover their fee (and more!)
Give it your best shot — there are prizes for the teams who raise the most money!
Local businesses may also sponsor your team
Sample Challenges:
Make a rubbing of a distinct grave and solve math problems from gravestones in a cemetery
Partner food-feeding challenge (blindfolded!)
Cup stacking races
Scrabble unscramble
Dice balancing
Pet grooming task
Historical site visits around Schenectady
Several community partner challenges (Narcan training, Autism awareness, child advocacy, food pantry, and more)
