About ScSDEF

We Help Teachers Help Students

Our mission is simple: provide funding for the enhancement of learning opportunities not otherwise available to the students enrolled in the Schenectady City School District.

The SCSDEF was established when community members became aware of a need for additional funding that would support enrichment projects outside of the normal curriculum.

Since 2006, grants totaling over $500,000 have been awarded for a multitude of projects: a green house, musical instruments, technology, field trips and more.
